🔗 Resource available here.

This resource is available as a ZIP file containing two visuals in pdf format.

This resource is based on a day of remote exchanges around Information Management practices organised by CartONG, that took place on June 18th, 2020, to which 17 humanitarian and development francophone Civil Society Organisations participated.

The content of this post is drawn directly from a discussion that occured as part of the day on the data management experiences of the participating CSOs in the face of the Covid-19 crisis and its physical distancing constraints. They listed the problems their organisations have been facing, the solutions that have been found (which have not always worked), and the opportunities that can also be said to have been triggered by the crisis in terms of data management. We are sharing these findings in case they can be useful to other actors of the sector more widely !

  • The first visual summarises the hurdles CSOs have been facing when adapting their activities to a physical distancing context, and some of the solutions they have implemented to attempt to overcome them.
  • The second visual lists the positive outcomes of the global covid-19 crisis, outlining the opportunities that have arisen for CSOs with regard to their data management practices.
